What is POD Architecture Services?
POD Architecture® Services features four primary deliverables:
Design: You license Digital Realty Trust’s standard POD Architecture® DEG® (Design and Engineering Guidelines) package including:
- One line diagrams
- Schematics
- Design Drawings and Specification
- Complete Bills of Materials
Digital Realty Trust will also work with you to develop a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model to optimize the energy efficiency of your datacenter.

Construction Services: Digital Realty Trust will build your data center within your facility using our
proprietary Gating Process® and our proven construction services and project management personnel.
This multi-milestone methodology enables you to sign off on each major milestone as Digital Realty Trust
oversees all aspects of your site’s delivery including: hiring all contractors and consultants and obtaining
all required licenses and permits.
System Integration & Commissioning Services: Digital
Realty Trust will test and perform full commissioning,
including Level V, on your facility to ensure individual
component and system interoperability performance. Global Procurement Access: You leverage Digital Realty
Trust’s volume purchase agreements with leading
component manufacturers like Cummins, Schneider Electric
and Emerson Network Power. This capability enables you
to purchase your primary equipment at favorable terms and
delivery timeframes to avoid the financial impact associated
with delays in product delivery.
This capability enables us to complete your data center in less than 26 weeks.
