Digital Realty Trust and Innovative Research present:
“Everything you need to know about Datacenter cooling”
This free two day seminar is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the issues associated with cooling today’s high-density datacenters, and familiarize them with the tools and methodologies available to address them. Through presentations conducted by industry leading experts from The Uptime Institute, Innovative Research and Digital Realty Trust, attendees will be presented with real world examples of practical methods for dealing with datacenter heat loads.
The first portion of this event will be a one and a half day session conducted by Dr. Robert Sullivan, of the Uptime Institute, that will address cooling related issues including:
- Precision cooling basics
- Psychrometrics of datacenters
- Heat load, static pressure, cooling CFM, delta T, perforated tiles and the simple arithmetic for proper planning
- Principles for locating computer hardware, perforated tiles and cooling systems in raised floor environments
The seminar will conclude with a half day session conducted by Jim Smith, Vice President of Engineering with Digital Realty Trust, and Dr. Amir Radmehr of Innovative Research that will provide attendees with real world examples of how the use of modeling software to pre-plan your datacenter layout can substantially reduce your operational costs.
